Vibia recently released a design series by Sebastian Herkner that focuses on framed linear light, the Kontur series. The Kontur design features a minimalist black frame that is paired with different diffusers or reflectors creating a myriad of lighting ambiances. It is available in both a wall lamp and hanging lamp option.

 The large-scale sconce combines a handblown opaline glass diffuser or a rounded metal reflector with its embedded LEDs. The cylindrical glass diffuser combines with the LEDs to create a warm 360 glow. Whereas the curved sheet of the metal reflector lends more to the ambient look of raining light.

The hanging lamp option’s streamlined black silhouette and nearly invisible cables give the look of the lamp just floating in the air.
